RACES
The most common race of Neo-Noire, the common human being. While not the strongest, they have adapted to many different roles. Ambitious, creative, and endlessly curious, for better and for worse.
Complex technological creations crafted to resemble humans, androids were originally a servitor race, but they have since broken free to form their own society. Unlike ordinary robots, androids do not simply respond according to their programming; rather, they have independent consciousnesses.
Some humans are engineered at birth to excel past the average humans, for various reasons. They are often just called “Bios” or “Altereds” rather than bio-engineered humans. These humans were originally a part of tests to create a superior soldier for any possible wars or conflicts.
While, not actually elves, these humans are very elf-like, so they have come to be called “elves”. The children born of magic users were inherently magical, they did not need to be bio-engineered. These children were originally called “Magic-Born”.
These humans are very similar to their bio-engineered counterparts. Psychs are also bio-engineered humans, but their engineering is based on altering their brains to have psychic/telepathic abilities.
