On July 21, 2038, Dariel Holland opened fire on a crowd of attendees of a public speaking event held by the Democratic Party of the United Federation. Holland, a 48-year-old man from Salt Lake City, Utah, fired more than 2,500 rounds from his hotel room in the Harborview Hotel, killing 73 people and leaving 1,032 injured – over 600 of them by gunfire and hundreds more in the ensuing panic. Holland was arrested in his hotel room when SWAT breached his room about half an hour after the shooting began. The incident was the deadliest mass shooting committed by an individual in America.
